A human reads every listing. Most large directories are assembled by scraping public records, which is why they are full of closed restaurants, disconnected numbers and businesses that moved three years ago. Every JaxInsider listing is submitted and then checked before it publishes. That is slower. It is also the entire point.
We only do Jacksonville. A national platform has to be shallow everywhere. We cover Duval County and the surrounding 904, including the Beaches, Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, Orange Park, Fleming Island and St. Augustine, and nothing else. Local knowledge is the product.
Residents are not the product. Membership is free for every resident and always will be. Reviews show a first name and last initial, never a full name or an email address. We do not sell member data.

How to check any of this yourself: open any listing and look for the details a scraper cannot fake, real hours, a service area, a licence number, recent reviews from local names. Then compare it to the same business on a national site.
